Description
A rare and striking Pha Yant (sacred cloth) depicting the Lersi Samingprai, the Tiger-Faced Hermit, blessed and empowered by the late Luang Phor Kalong (Wat Kao Lam) in B.E. 2550 (2007 A.D.). This piece was part of a limited issue of only 999 cloths, each one stamped with temple seal and serial number for authenticity.
In Thai spiritual tradition, the Lersi Samingprai is the hermit-sage embodying the fierce power of the tiger—a protector of the righteous and a master of natural and supernatural strength. He is invoked for leadership, courage, success, protection, and authority. The blue cloth bears vivid yantra inscriptions and blessings, consecrated over a three-month chanting ceremony (Poo Seir Tri Mas 50).
Luang Phor Kalong was widely revered for his command over mystical disciplines; legend holds he possessed a tiger fang embedded in his palate, symbol of his fearsome power. He passed away in B.E. 2552 (2009), and his works have since become highly sought after.
