Phra Chalawan Prai Amulet – Aj Tom
Type: Serious Spirit Fetish / Prai Amulet
Origin: Thailand
Condition: Rare – One Only
Description
This is a substantial and intensely executed prai (spirit) amulet depicting Phra Chalawan, the legendary crocodile-lord from Thai folk myth who ruled a watery cave and possessed formidable supernatural power. According to the legend, Chalawan abducted a woman (Taphao Thong) and held her in his cave, until the hero Kraithong came to vanquish him.
In spiritual amulet traditions, Chalawan’s figure is invoked for protection, command of fearsome forces, and breaking through hidden dangers—his crocodile-form representing ancient power, dominance over water & hidden realms, and resilience. The prai version of Chalawan brings an added layer: the piece is consciously crafted as a spirit fetish, tapping into the cholera of crocodile-power in the animist and Saiyasart lineage.
Created and consecrated by Aj Tom, a practitioner known for deep prai work, this amulet is built in a large format to manifest presence. Designed for collectors and serious practitioners who wish to engage with potent and even “dark” protective/empowerment energies, it is not for the faint-hearted.
